Detective Dewey (Albert Finney) sets about solving a series of murders, only to discover the victims appear to have been mauled to death by animals.
Dewey soon discovers an Indian legend in which wolf spirits are said to be appearing as shapeshifters, preying on humans for food.
Memorable for two reasons - Finney's hair and the use of point-of-view shots (for the werewolves) that are mixed with thermal imagery, a technique later used in the Predator movies.
