We're not going to lie - we thought The Hole 3D was going to be your generic family fare.

But this clip, from the same director as Gremlins, proves that he's making this teen thriller as terrifying as possible (we may have squealed).

The movie follows the tale of a family who fled from their past, and who find protection in a supposedly abandoned house - except, obviously, it's not quite as vacant as they'd hoped, with a fatal hole in the floor of the basement rooms throwing up a few unexpected surprises/scares.
