Not so long ago, a few of us here at Sky noticed that we were all using a variety of websites to satisfy our filmic needs. Be it release dates, trailers or features, we had to use multiple sites to quench the thirst for movie knowledge.

So some bright spark suggested we went about creating a site that encompassed all these elements in one location on the interweb.

The site has been designed and built by Sky Movies - but with the intention of providing the only destination you'll ever need for your film-related info.

We're going to provide you with all the usual bits and bobs - trailers, galleries, reviews and the like - as well as all the features you'd find on a variety of other sites, but not neccesarily in one place.

Soon enough you'll be able to book cinema tickets, download movies,  find out the latest news, watch interviews, find out release dates and showing times on all platforms (be it Cinema, DVD, Pay Per View or television) - basically everything you need a movies website for! 

We'd like to stress that Sky Movies customers will not be left out - we will continue to provide the information on Sky Movies films on skymovies.com - before we move those pages across to the brand new site.
