A new trailer for JJ Abrams' Star Trek reboot has finally landed.
And not only that, but Sky Movies have an exclusive interview with the director himself, JJ Abrams!
The all-new Star Trek trailer starts right at the beginning - with a young James Tiberius Kirk risking it all on a what appears to be a futuristic dirt bike.
"You've always had a hard time finding your place in this world, haven't you?" questions Zachary Quinto, the new Spock, of Kirk in the trailer's voice over.
"Never knowing your true worth. You can setltle for less, an ordinary life. How you feel like you were meant for something better. Something special."
From then on it's a veritable banquet of special effects and dramatic music as Abrams goes full throttle on the CGI and sets, with the next higlight being Simon Pegg's Scotty, who proclaims "I like this ship! It's exciting!" in a spot-on-fake Scottish accent.
The story remains a mystery - although there appears to be an obligatory bad guy offering opposition to the Enterprise - but Abrams was happy to talk to us in detail about the production in our exclusive interview, which can be seen below the trailer. Enjoy!
