Oliver Stone's excellent morality tale stars Charlie Sheen as the young hotshot trying to make it big in Wall Street who manages to get a job with big fish Gordon Gecko (a superbly greasy Michael Douglas).
At first he lives the high life, until the airline his father (real-life dad Martin Sheen) works for is threatened by Gecko, who plans to asset-strip it.
Realising his misplaced loyalty he attempts to do the right thing and bring Gecko down.
A brilliant film that captures the awfulness of Reagan's America and the Eighties perfectly.
Got many a young man into stripy shirts and braces. Gecko's "Greed is good" and "Lunch is for wimps" became a mantra for this scum.
