Review

Jake and Elwood Blues (Jim Belushi, Dan Aykroyd) are reunited after Jake's release from prison. They visit the Chicago orphanage where they were raised and Sister Mary Stigmata (Kathleen Freeman) tells them that the place is due to be closed unless they can pay back 5000 dollars in taxes. She refuses, however, to accept stolen money. So what can these crooked boys do? But help is at hand as during a musical sermon at the local church, Jake is seized by a `holy mission' to raise the money legitimately by reviving the old Blues Brothers Band. The brothers brush with the police over traffic violations, a group of Neo-Nazis and a deadly woman (Carrie Fisher) who keeps trying to kill the boys in various Wil E Coyote ways as they set off to round up their musicians. Full of belly-laughs as well as toe-tappingly great tunes, the sharp suits and cool shades of the Blues brothers will have you rocking with joy.
