Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron star in a low-key but eerily effective sci-fi chiller. A teacher becomes increasingly suspicious of her astronaut husband when he returns from a mysterious mission a changed man.

Review

My husband is an alien! This sometimes jumpy chiller is a cross between Species 2 and I Married a Monster from Outer Space.

Astronaut Johnny Depp zooms off into space where he and a fellow astronaut encounter a horrific unknown and lose consciousness.

Something is obviously up and Depp's wife Charlize Theron, though soon pregnant with twins on his return, remains uneasy. She tries to seek help but, in true Hitchcock fashion, would-be saviours are melted faster than butter in a microwave.

Several sequences here are edgily effective, especially when you're expecting Depp to appear round every corner. Watchable eerie fun.
