Step Brothers

Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and director Adam McKay - the driving force behind Talladega Nights – hit the laughing gas once again for the story of Brennan (Ferrell) and Dale (Reilly), two adult adolescents who never moved out of home. But boys will be boys, so when Brennan’s mum (Steenburgen) marries Dale’s dad (Jenkins), one house ain’t big enough for the both of them. No brotherly love is lost in a boisterous comedy where the gags generally hit below the belt… or upside the head.

Review

Ferrell and Reilly star as a pair of stay-at-home slackers forced to live together when their single parents Nancy and Robert (Steenburgen and Jenkins) tie the knot.

Spoilt, idle and stupid, Brennan and Dale have much in common. But, of course, they hate each other, and no sooner does Dale warn Brennan not touch his drum-kit than the latter is rubbing his scrotum on the cymbals.

But, they must unite against the only character more obnoxious than they are: Brennan’s slimy brother Derek (Adam Scott).

Knockabout, potty-mouthed silliness guaranteed to leave Ferrell fans chuckling.
