Brassy comedy starring Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin as a trio of sexually harassed office workers who turn the tables on their male chauvinist boss Dabney Coleman. Upbeat and oddly prescient stuff, given that it was made when 'politically correct' merely meant a woman's right to vote. Tell you what though, that Dolly bird knows her catchy theme songs.

Review

A fast, furious and unusual zany comedy about three office gals: the brains (delightful Lily Tomlin), the bust (amusing Dolly Parton) and the bewildered (funny Jane Fonda).

How they keep their intolerable, sexist employer (Dabney Coleman) prisoner in his own home while proving he's a thief is every secretary's fantasy. Wish-fulfilment of the happiest kind.

Parton sings the theme song and makes her movie debut, memorising every actor's lines in the film.
