Goldie Hawn is the kooky (what else?!) waitress who moves into architect Steve Martin's dream house and pretends to be his wife - despite the fact he's promised to someone else. Martin reteams with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels director Frank Oz for a farcical screwball comedy that give everyone plenty to chew on.

Review

Good-for-chuckles romantic comedy with Martin as a stuck-in-a-rut architect whose girlfriend (Dana Delany) turns him and his dream house down.

Rebounding from a one-night stand with waitress Hawn, Martin arrives at the (empty) house one day to find that Hawn has moved in, having convinced his parents and the whole town that they're married.

The foundation's a bit wobbly but it just about bears up.
