Caring vet Sam (Eion Bailey) and his wife Lydia (Annabeth Gish) are building their dream home in an idyllic village in Maine. Into their lives springs free-spirit Dee Dee (Alicia Silverstone), a former high school crush of Sam's, and her 12-year-old son Trooper (Matthew Knight). Lydia is initially suspicious of Sam's feelings toward Dee Dee, but it's soon clear that her zest for life has helped pull Sam out of his shell. But there's a price. Tear-jerking drama.
