So when they get engaged within hours of each other, it’s half their dreams come true. But when their weddings are mistakenly scheduled for the same day, the cake knives come out for an unseemly campaign of veiled threats and nuptial sabotage. Kate Hudson is Liv, a hotshot lawyer whose best friend is mousy teacher Emma, played by The Devil Wears Prada's Anne Hathaway.

Since childhood, both have dreamed of getting married at the Plaza. So when Liv finds a Tiffany box in her boyfriend’s wardrobe, she doesn’t even wait for him to pop the question before broadcasting the news.

But Emma’s boyfriend proposes first! Of course, Liv’s fella does the right thing and the girls skip off to see New York’s most sought-after wedding planner (Candice Bergen).

But, the wedding planner is clearly having an off-day, as she doesn't notice the BFF both have the same date for the big day, and there's only one Plaza to go round.
