A middle-aged widower (Ryo Ishibashi) runs into a psycho when he holds an 'audition' for a new wife in this weird and way-out Japanese psychological horror thriller. The young woman (Eihi Shiina) whom the widower auditions wreaks appalling vengeance on him, apparently as a representative of all wicked mankind. Intended to shock, this visually stylish and intelligently scripted movie goes way out on a limb in its final 10 minutes.
