The film in which Ingrid Bergman returned to Hollywood and won an Oscar all in one swoop. Many would argue that she is out-acted by that dowager duchess of actresses, Helen Hayes, in a good strong story about an attempt to pass off a young woman as the surviving daughter of the last Czar of Russia. Gaudy, opulent settings form the backdrop to the Dr Zhivago-ish drama.
