`They're back - in their Mummy's arms,' trumpeted the publicity, as the only screen monster that Bud Abbott and Lou Costello hadn't previously met gets a grip on them in this typical A and C comedy. Marie Windsor, raven-haired actress from the Forties and Fifties, who never got the parts her talents deserved, plays the villainess to the hilt, in the finest Gale Sondergaard tradition. The humour is tried and true, but by and large the lads are in decent form, Costello in particular making the most of a scene where a medallion is slipped into his food. After crunching it up, he is given an X-ray examination so that the villainess can read the inscription! There's even something for jazz enthusiasts in a night-club spot by Peggy King.
