Oscars Hosts

For film fans during the 1990s, Billy Crystal was the Oscars. MC'ing the big event from 1990-1993, 1997-98, 2000 and 2004, Crystal's quickfire humour defined what an Oscar host should be for a whole generation.

Best line (on returning to the podium in 2004): It was 13 years ago when I first hosted the Academy Awards, and things sure have changed since then. George Bush was President, the economy was tanking, and we had just finished a war with Iraq. Yeah, things really have changed.
