New Woman in Black trailer, Transformers 4 and 5 to be shot back to back, Scarlett Johansson too famous for Lisbeth Salander
A spooky teaser was released several months ago, but as Halloween approaches Hammer has finally released the full-length trailer for its remake of chilling horror The Woman in Black.
In Daniel Radcliffe's first film outing since the Harry Potter franchise ended, the young actor stars as Arthur Kipps, a solicitor summoned to a small market town to sell an old house that no one in the town will buy.
No guesses for why the foreboding property won't sell...
Ciarán Hinds, Janet McTeer and Roger Allam co-star in The Woman in Black, which is based on Susan Hill's 1983 novel. The film is released in the UK in February 2012.
TRANSFORMERS 4 AND 5 MAY BE SHOT BACK-TO-BACK
Transformers: Dark of the Moon hauled in more than $1 billion at the global box office, so it should come as no surprise that Paramount is eager to keep the franchise alive.
According to Variety, the film newspaper, the studio is talking about filming the next two installments in one go, and may even be convincing director Michael Bay, who has previously suggested he is finished with Optimus Prime, to come back on board.
Shia LaBeouf is unlikely to rejoin the Autobot battle once again, but, it is rumoured, Jason Statham could be the favourite to take his place. Given the less-than-favourable reaction to Statham's girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's role in the latest film, you might think that Statham would steer clear of the robot blockbusters.
But you'd be wrong.
SCARLETT JOHANSSON TOO FAMOUS FOR DRAGON TATTOO
David Fincher, diretcor of the upcoming Holywood adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, has said that Scarett Johansson, who auditioned for the part of Lisbeth Salander, was just too famous for the role.
"Look, we saw some amazing people," Fincher told Vogue. "Scarlett Johansson was great. It was a great audition, I'm telling you.
He continued: "But the thing with Scarlett is, you can't wait for her to take her clothes off.
"I keep trying to explain this. Salander should be like E.T. If you put E.T. dolls out before anyone had seen the movie, they would say, 'What is this little squishy thing?'" Fincher said.
"Well, you know what? When he hides under the table and he grabs the Reese's Pieces, you love him! It has to be like that," he said.
Fincher eventually chose Rooney Mara for the role, whom he had previously directed in The Social Network.
