A new version of the world-famous A-Team van has been captured on camera. The GMC van has been recreated for the forthcoming movie adaptation of the classic 80s television show.
The new A-Team van has been spotted as the movie world gets ready for the long-awaited adaptation of the action TV show.
And fans will note very little has changed. It's still a GMC (General Motor Company) vehicle, has the guns-at-the-ready sliding side door, hefty tyres and THAT red stripe.
In the TV show, the van was driven by B.A. Baracus (Mr T), and was used to storm buildings or provide quick exits for the group of mercenaries who fought for the needy and took on the evil-doers around L.A.
Occasionally it would get smashed up, much to B.A.'s chagrin, but would always appear as new in the following episode.
A film adaptation of The A-Team has been mooted for years, with the TV show first appearing over 25 years ago. But only now has it finally gone into production.
And the casting is still taking place - Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, Lakeview Terrace) is the most recent actor to be linked with a role.
Meanwhile, Liam Neeson has signed on to play the group's leader, Hannibal Smith, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson will star as B.A. Baracus, Bradley Cooper of The
Hangover fame will take on the part of Templeton 'Face Man' Peck, while District 9's Sharpo Copley will attempt to bring Howlin' Mad Murdock back to life.
Jessica Biel will appear as a love interest (and possibly a military-type chasing the team).
The film is scheduled for release in July 2010.
