A crack unit of comedy commandoes marshalled by Ben Stiller sends up Hollywood's predilection for self-regarding, worthier-than-thou war movies. Stiller is the action hero whose star is in freefall, Jack Black is the heroin-snorting, gross-out grandee while Robert Downey Jr is the blacked-up method actor who can't get out of character. Incompetent Brit director Steve Coogan decides to chopper his cast deep into the jungle…where they get mistaken for DEA agents by a vicious drugs cartel. Think Apocalypse Now with gags.
