One of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, the last few years have seen Jessica Alba rise to the top of her game, proving she can take on any role from Lycra-clad superhero in Fantastic Four and scream queen in The Eye to her latest role opposite Mike Myers in The Love Guru.
“I just got out there and saturated myself as much as I could, in every genre,” she explains. “I love comedy and, if you’re going to work with anybody in comedy, Mike is definitely someone to learn from.”
It’s not just Myers’ comedy skills that seem to have influenced Alba, the actress showing that she can have it all off-screen as well since the birth of her daughter, Honor, and tying the knot with love of her life, Cash Warren. Perhaps Myer’s latest comic invention Guru Pitka pointed her in the right direction?
“Well, you definitely need to be on the path of loving yourself before you are capable of sharing your life or your heart with anyone else,” she smiles, clearly utilising Pitka’s mantra “INTIMACY” or “In-
To-Me-I-See”...
So, what’s next for Tinseltown’s A-list yummy mummy? “I think initially I’m going to do more character driven roles,” she says. “Not necessarily the big, box-office movies. I think this is a life-altering experience and to say that it’s not going to influence my decisions would be crazy.”
Will we be seeing as much of her now she’s a mother? “Every movie I’ve done, they always try to get me naked – because men are still making movies and they just believe that women should not be clothed. So, yes, I will be more picky with the roles I choose.”
