Do you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Guy Ritchie or Ken Loach, or do you one day dream of showcasing your own production at the Sundance Film Festival? Well help is at hand.
To celebrate the launch of Sky Movies Indie HD channel, Sky Movies is offering one independent film maker the unique opportunity to have their own HD film financed and broadcast on air by Sky.
Sky Movies Indie HD, in association with The Independent and Skillset is inviting aspiring film makers to submit their own one-page treatment for a 10 minute HD short film.
A panel of industry experts including Sky Movies’ Movie Geek presenter Josh Howie, will consider these treatments, before announcing the winner in December. The winning film maker will be awarded £5,000 for equipment hire to shoot and edit their film in High Definition with the film to be shown on Sky Movies Indie HD in the New Year.
Skillset, the training body for the UK’s creative media industries, will provide tailored advice and support for the winning filmmaker to help them make their film and think about their future career.
Sky Movies Indie HD is devoted to screening the best in independent film and has now become the tenth channel on the network to be transmitted in high definition, ensuring that independent movie fans can enjoy the widest variety of films in the highest quality.
