Dr Richard Thorndyke (Mel Brooks), the new administrator of the Psychoneurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous, find himself framed for murder. To clear his name he must confront his own condition - "high anxiety". Brooks affectionately parodies the Hitchcock films The Birds, Psycho and Vertigo. Over the top it may be, but that's how we like Brooks. Look out for Rain Man director Barry Levinson as a bell boy.
