This year's hit foreign blockbuster, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is unsurprisingly getting an American remake.
What's really interesting are the names being bandied about - David Fincher and Carey Mulligan.
Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy is one of the greater non-Harry Potter/Twilight literary successes of recent years, and the first Swedish adaptation has already gained rave reviews all over the world.
While Sony officially gained control of the English-language rights late last year, NY Magazine Vulture has finally announced prominent names that are currently involved with the project.
Hot off her success at the Baftas, Carey Mulligan is tipped to take the heroine role as the technical wizz, aspergers-afflicted lead Lisbeth Salander, while Seven director Fincher's involvement would signal a marked return to his harder-hitting material after the sentimentality of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
While we can't help but instantly lament yet another American remake of an instant cult classic, like Let The Right One In, the source material and talent involved certainly ensures we'll at least give them a chance.
