If the makers of Ice Age know anything, they know how to craft funny, cute and madcap CGI animals.
So fans will be happy to hear they're back with new CGI family comedy Rio, and a brand new trailer for Ice Age 4.
These exclusive posters feature the main characters from the brand new adventure, which centres on Blu, a rare macaw who leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota for the exotic wonders of Rio de Janeiro. But Blu’s new life and adventures in Rio are complicated by the fact that he can’t fly. Lucky for Blu, his new menagerie of friends are ready to help him find his inner-hero – and teach him what it really means to soar.
While fans won't have long to wait for Rio (it's released April 2011), they'll have to wait a little longer for Ice Age 4: Continental Drift.
Check out the first traditionally Scrat-filled teaser trailer below for the movie, which hits cinemas in 2012.
