2012 is almost upon us and it's time to a look back at which films made the most dosh this year.

It's been a funny old year, with the usual big-hitters - Harry Potter and the Twilight saga, for instance - while other big successes, like Bridesmaids (in at number 15, the highest grossing non-animation/sequel/franchise) coming totally out of left field.
