The Actor: The Edinburgh-born actor starred in 1940s movies such as The Way To The Stars and The Wooden Horse before relocating to Hollywood. He appeared in Hitchcock’s Dial M For Murder before being cast as Professor Dent. He went on to play Blofeld in From Russia With Love and Thunderball (although his face was obscured and he was dubbed). He died of cancer in 1992.
