The wannabe Russian ballerina had to drop out of the Bolshoi after she grew an inch too tall...only to become a corporal in Soviet Army Intelligence. Threatened with death by SPECTRE’s Rosa Klebb, she agrees to a honeytrap plot to snare 007. However, she falls for the smooth-talking spy and ends up helping in his plan to seize a priceless cryptograph machine.
The Actress: The Rome-born actress was the first runner-up in the 1960 Miss Universe contest. Due to her strong Italian accent she was dubbed by House of Eliott actress Barbara Jefford. Bianchi was the first of the Bond girls to never replicate the success of 007 and wound up married the president of an Italian cargo shipping company in 1985. So, not exactly an unhappy ending.
