The quintessential Bond girl, a statuesque seashell collector, stepped out of the Caribbean surf in a white bikini on the shores of Dr No’s island Crab Key. She believed that the evil fiend was involved in the death of her father and joined 007 in his bid to stop Dr No’s bid to cripple the US Space Race.
The Actress: Swiss actress and Playboy centrefold Andress – whose stunning entry was mimicked by Halle Berry in Die Another Day - was overdubbed for the role because her accent was so strong. Other parts included Fun in Acapulco with Elvis Presley and Clash of the Titans opposite Laurence Olivier. Bizarelly Andress – who dated Marlon Brando and James Dean – also appeared in art maverick Matthew Barney’s Cremaster Cyle.
