Bond is back for one weekend only, and the double 0 is for "Oh! Oh Wow!" as Sky Movies Modern Greats presents ten of the best Bonds from Friday 27th - Sunday 29th March, all in license to thrill High Defintion.
Ask anyone who is their favourite Bond and the overwhelming response is Sean Connery. Thish ish why we have all shix Connery classicsh, from Dr. No, the Bond that began it all, to the post-George Lazenby stab Diamonds Are Forever.
Quintessential English gentleman Roger Moore's first two 007 outings, Live and Let Die (the one with the Wings song) and The Man With The Golden Gun (the one with the corkscrew car jump), and Pierce Brosnan's excellent Tomorrow Never Dies (the one with Michelle Yeoh out-Bonding Bond) are also here on her Majesty's silver screen service.
There's even the chance to see David Niven's crack at the suave superspy in 1967's original Casino Royale. Once the black sheep of the Bond family, this madcap slice of sixties spy psychedelia was an inspiration for a certain Austin Powers, and boasts an astonishing cast, including Peter Sellers, Woody Allen, Orson Welles, Dr. No's Ursula Andress, Peter O'Toole... and Ronnie Corbett!
