Alec Baldwin"You can't out-act me. Don't even try."Alec Baldwin looks set to join Penelope Cruz in Woody Allen's next project.

And the 30 Rock star could be joined by in vogue actor Jesse Eisenberg for the as yet un-named project.

He's already announced that he'll be leaving his role in the hit US comedy 30 Rock, but now it looks like rumours of his retirement have been greatly exaggerated as Alec Baldwin looks set to join the cast of Woody Allen's next film.

In typical Allen style little is known about his next film apart from the fact it will star Penelope Cruz and will be shot in Rome.

Woody Allen's recent releases might have attracted average reviews from critics, but that hasn't dented the iconic director's pulling power as he once again demonstrates his ability to attract star names with Hollywood A-lister Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), also rumoured to be circling the project.

Baldwin will work with Allen for the first time since the 1990 comedy Alice but will first star in Rock Of Ages, the Adam Shankman-directed New Line musical that also stars Diego Gonzalez Boneta, Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige and Russell Brand.
